Once you activate your Inventory Planner Essentials subscription, you will need to create a Sage account in order to access your account.

What is a Sage account?

A Sage account is an individual login used to access Sage products and services. Using a Sage account means you only have to remember a single username and password for all of your Sage products, and if you have to make changes to your Sage account (such as updating your password), they’ll update across every device you use.

Creating a Sage account

On activating your Inventory Planner Essentials subscription, you will be asked to create a Sage account when you next log into Inventory Planner Essentials.

To create your Sage account:

  1. Enter your email address, first name, last name and password.

  2. Double-check your details and click “Sign up”. You’ll receive an email containing a 6-digit code.

  3. Enter the 6-digit code into the verification window, then click “Continue”.

  4. Set up your two-factor authentication (2FA) within 30 days. Learn more about setting up 2FA here.

Once you create your Sage account, you’ll be asked to log in to Inventory Planner Essentials with your Sage account every time going forward.

Inviting new users to your Inventory Planner Essentials account

When you invite new users to your Inventory Planner Essentials account, they will also need to set up a Sage ID if they don’t already have one. On receiving their invitation, they should click the link contained in the email.

Note: The invite link is valid for 48 hours. If the invite link expires, you can re-invite them from the users list.

If they already have a Sage account, the link will bring them to a page with their email address pre-populated. They should click "Accept invitation", then enter or reset their password. If they had to reset their password, they must then go back to the invitation email and click the link again.

After logging in using their Sage account, they will receive a confirmation page stating You are invited by [email address]. Accept invitation or decline.

Click "Accept" to access Inventory Planner.

If they do not already have a Sage account, the link will take them to a page stating Create Sage account and accept invitation.

They should then click "Sign up with Sage ID" and follow the instructions to set up their Sage account.

Two-factor authentication

Your Sage account requires two-factor authentication (2FA) to be enabled. Learn more about 2FA with your Sage account at the following pages:

Resetting a forgotten password

If you have forgotten your password, click the “Forgot password” link on the Sage account login page and follow the instructions to reset your Sage account password.
