Inventory Planner Essentials uses sales and inventory information pulled from Shopify to calculate a forecast. The forecast predicts the demand for each of your variants for the next 18 months.

There are three main views in Forecasting:

  • The Forecast screen

  • The Forecast details screen

  • The Sales and inventory history screen

Forecast screen

The Forecast screen allows you to:

  • View the calculations used to make the forecast

  • Edit the lookback period for each variant

  • Adjust the forecast per variant using a percentage increase or decrease applied to each future month of the forecast

  • Select variants and go to Purchase

Forecast details

The forecast details screen allows you to view a detailed forecast for a single variant. When viewing the forecast details for a variant, you can:

  • Edit the lookback period for that variant

  • Adjust the forecast per variant using a percentage increase or decrease applied to each future month of the forecast

  • View sales and inventory charts

Sales and inventory history

The Sales and inventory history screen displays information pulled from Shopify that influence the forecast. You can use this screen to:

  • Check the synced figures

  • Analyze the ‘Available to sell’ metric

  • View gross sales and return data
